To create a very colourful summer garden using my favourite plants. To provide a big visual impact, attract lots of wildlife and provide cut flowers for the house, whilst indulging my passion for planting schemes.
For customers requiring summer planting schemes, visits to my garden can be arranged for ideas and inspiration.
I designed formal paths and a central octagonal pond with optimal planting space around it. I planted a yew hedge and used box balls to give the garden some structure. After adding lots of nutritious compost I had great fun choosing the planting scheme! I selected lots of different coloured hues and planted them to compliment each other, encouraging them to billow over the paths and soften the stonework.
Now the garden is maturing, it is a joy to watch it grow every day during the spring until it peaks in summer proving a blaze of colours. I get great pleasure sitting on the edge of the pond by the trickling fountain, watching the goldfish and water lillies, and looking at my constantly changing garden.
